FAQs
Help! We don’t know how to pose!
Don’t worry at all!! This is what I’m here for! I can take care of everything, and help you feel relaxed and comfortable during your session. There’s plenty of time to settle in, and you’ll dictate the flow. If you like jumping around, great! If you’d prefer a calmer more relaxed setting, that’s no problem either! I’ll gently direct and guide you through, to help capture your most authentic self/selves.
What do we wear?
This is one of my most frequently asked questions! Ultimately you should look exactly as you are, so don’t feel pressured to suddenly get your hair cut/dyed or wear something that isn’t your style. On booking I can provide you with advice on styles/colours etc that photograph well for your chosen session. It really is more important for you feel comfortable and confident to get the best results though.
What if my child is having a grumpy kind of day?
No need to worry about grumpy children, I can work around them! I have children of my own so have plenty of experience, and have learned lots of tricks/games over the years to bring out the best in them. Worst case scenario though, if we just can’t get them to smile I’ll still capture them being themselves exactly as they feel on the day. I will also capture the genuine moments of love between you as you try to comfort, reassure or encourage them. I’ll capture the love and warmth that you share, and that’s definitely something still worth cherishing.
What if I’m sick, or it rains?
Of course, sessions can be rescheduled due to illness. A 24-hour notice is appreciated, though obviously these things can not always be predicted. I’ll reschedule once at no additional cost to you, to a date based on availability.
If it looks like it’s going to rain heavily during a scheduled outdoor session, we can discuss changing locations to somewhere undercover or reschedule if possible. If it is just cloudy or there are light showers, we will go ahead.
Can I share my photos?
I love it when you share my work on social media! I just ask though, that you include my Instagram/Facebook tags when you do (to ensure that I’m credited), and that you do not alter the editing (eg. no filters).
Will you share my photos?
I love sharing your images on our social media and website too, however if you’d prefer for that not to happen, just let me know and I’ll of course respect your decision.
Can I purchase a gift voucher?
You sure can! Whether it's for a birthday, special milestone, event or would be a “just because” type of gift – I can definitely help you out!
How do we book you?
Simply shoot through an email or call me on the above number, to arrange a suitable date/time for your session. Then, following payment of your session fee, I’ll put you on the calendar and start getting excited for your session!
Will my photos be edited?
Yes, your images will be edited with my signature style. I create warm, earthy, emotional looks but place importance on capturing the REAL moments and essence of you above all else!
How will I receive the final photos?
Your gallery will be delivered digitally for you to download and keep forever!
How long is the wait for photos?
The current turn-around time for completed hand-edited galleries is approximately 4-6 weeks.
Do you archive our images?
I archive for one year following your session date, and send through reminders one month prior to gallery removal, to reminder you to download yours and save it to a forever home of your choosing.
